At the first Art Upmarket (also my first art fair of this kind) earlier this year, I tested selling limited edition prints of my popular paintings. Prints are an affordable, lightweight and easily transportable option for art collectors. The response was great, so I have produced a range – based on my solo show earlier this year – that are accessible in size and format, and particularly great for presents.

Printed for me by Fitzgerald Photo, the Giclee prints are on sublime paper – Hahnemuhle textured etching fine art paper. The paper is specifically designed and made for fine art reproduction and complies with highest archival standards.

You can view the prints (and buy direct) in my Store. Happy shopping!

What are Giclée prints?

A Giclée (pronounce zhee-klay) is an individually produced, high-resolution reproduction printed on a special large format ink-jet printer. A Limited Edition Giclée is a numbered series of prints, produced from digital images of an original artwork. It is recognised as the finest method to accurately reproduce art. The Giclée print renders deep saturated colours and has a beautiful painterly quality that retains minute details and subtle tints.

Giclée printing is a specialised field that requires an experienced printmaker. Every Giclée is a work of art in it’s own right. A Limited Edition Giclée is often so close to the original that it is difficult to tell them apart.

Most people display a Giclée print on paper by framing, using a mount to archival standards and behind glass or perspex (possibly non-reflective.)
